When a wound or sore heals, it turns into a scar and this scar could be caused by acne, pimple or injuries. There are several ways of fading scars and this article will reveal them to you.
THE FOLLOWING ARE TEN (10) WAYS OF FADING SCARS:
- Aloe Vera gel This gel has a healing, soothing and rejuvenating properties. It has an antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties that helps in healing and fading acne scars. It helps scars heal faster by strengthening the collagen structure with in the scars. The glycoprotein in the gel helps to stop inflammation and pain. Then the polysaccharides promotes skin growth and repair blemished skin.
To use the Aloe Vera gel, break a piece of the aloe leaf. Then peel the outer sides to expose the gel inside.
Massage gently on the skin or the affected part.
For best results, let the gel soak in the skin for at least 30 minutes before washing it off.
2. Baking soda
Baking soda restores the natural pH balance to fade away the acne scars and other scars on the skin by eliminating bacteria from clumping. It exfoliates the skin to remove dirt and excess oil and dead skin cells that get trapped in the skin pores to fade away acne scars.
To use the Baking soda, just mix few teaspoons of baking soda with enough water to form a thick paste then massage into skin where scars are present. Once applied, leave the mixture on for 2 minutes. This will help the baking soda to cleanse pores and help prevent further blemishes.
Then wash face with lukewarm water and apply a good moisturizer.
Do this twice a week.
3. Coconut oil
Coconut oil contains lauric acid and fatty acids that fight off over-growing acne bacteria. Coconut oil help to cool down the skin and relieve inflammation there by fading scars.
To use coconut oil, scoop a quarter of a teaspoon of organic virgin coconut oil into the palm of your hand and let it soak in. There's no need to wash away the coconut oil as the vitamins and fatty acids will continue to work and improve skin health as long as you wear it. However if the oil is too heavy for your comfort, leave it on for at least 30 minutes before removing with all natural cleansers.
4. Cucumber
It treats inflammation because it contains silica, a rich source of nutrients that replenishes the skin. It also holds the connective tissues of skin tightly and acts as an anti-acne product. It contains many essential nutrients like vitamin (A C and E), minerals and amino acids that preserve the skin. The astringent property of cucumber helps to cure acne and lightens the appearance of scars.
To use cucumber for fading scars, Get an organic cucumber, cut off a few thin slices and lay them over your scarred skin. After about 30 minutes, discard the cucumber slices and rinse your face with cool water.
Repeat daily as desired.
5. Honey
Honey contains natural antibiotics that protects against bacteria that causes acne. Interactions between the sugar in the honey and the secretions triggers the production of hydrogen peroxide, which kills the bacteria that cause acne and naturally bleached scars.
To use this for scar fading, simply massage a small amount of honey over your scars and let this wonder of nature works magic.
You can also mix about a teaspoon of ground cinnamon per 2 tablespoon of honey for added pure cleansing power.
Use this treatment as often as you like.
6. Lemon juice
The natural bleaching agent in lemon juice reduces the appearance of acne scars and other dark spot or marks. The alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that can be used to fade scars promote healing and revitalize skin.
To use this, simply squeeze the juice from the lemon in a small bowl. You can use this treatment undiluted or diluted with water if you have sensitive skin.
Dip cotton ball into the juice then apply over the scar.
Let it dry completely then rinse with cool water and follow up with a good moisturizer.
Do this twice a week.
7. Potato juice
Potato is an excellent absorbent of excess oil on skin. The vitamins and the rich nutrients in potato is great for skin health and healing. It also has a skin lightening properties that will fade scars away.
To use this, blend 2 raw potatoes and extract juice from it.
Apply juice to the scar with a cotton ball.
For best results, leave potato juice on skin for at least fifteen minutes before rinsing off with warm water.
Do this once per day.
8. Rosehip seed oil
Rosehip seed oil regenerates skin and reduces scars on the skin. It also prevents stretch marks. The trans-retinoic in rosehip seed oil delivers a natural boost to the regenerative ability of the skin cells. It has an anti-inflammatory properties which helps to heal wounds and fade scars.
Use your fingers to apply this light oil to the scarred skin twice every day.
9. Sugar scrub
Sugar contain glycolic acid and alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) both removes dead skin and promotes cell regeneration.
To use this simply mix raw organic cane sugar with virgin olive at a 2:1 ratio.
After add several drops of lemon juice until your scrub is workable but not too watery.
Apply sugar scrub to scars . Leave on for 15 minutes and remember to follow up with a good moisturizer.
10.Vtamin E oil
The healing properties in vitamin E fade scars.
To use this, simply puncture end of a vitamin E gel and squeeze out the oil unto your finger tip. Apply the oil to the scarred skin. Don't wipe of the oil, just leave it on the skin for it to be absorbed.
