Rosacea is a chronic skin condition that develops during teen years and gets worse as one ages. The cause of rosacea is unknown but there are triggering factors. Medical experts claim once diagnosed, it cannot no be cured but only managed.
People diagnosed with rosacea have red flushed face. The redness in the face is around the centre of the cheeks and nose. The affected area swells and is normally painful. There's stinging and burning in skin. People who blushes easily are prone to rosacea.
Since it's claimed that rosacea cannot be cured, I have in my article, five remedies that can be found at home.
ALOE VERA GEL
With its antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, aloe vera gel is used to treat rosacea.

- Apply the gel to affected area and allow to dry.
- Rinse with water then apply moisturizer to the affected area.
- A tablespoon of the gel can be drank twice a day to bring out the toxins in the body.
FLAX SEEED OIL
It contains anti-inflammatory properties that helps reduces redness. Flax seed oil is known for soothing irritated skin.

- This oil should be applied to the affected area moisturize it. This should be done every night.
- Flax seed should be added to the diet to reduce inflammation
HONEY
Honey has antimicrobial as well as powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Honey can be use to treat breakouts and reduces.
- Apply a moderate amount of raw honey to the affected area.
- Leave it on for about 20 minutes
- Rinse it off with water and apply moisturizer to the skin.
- Do this three times a week to control redness
LAVENDER OIL
This oil has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties which is known to control lots of skin problems and rosacea very well.
- Dip cotton ball in lavender oil and massage it on the affected area of your skin. It will help ease inflammation and reduce redness of skin.
OATMEAL

- Make a paste of a powder oatmeal.
- Apply it to the affected area.
- Let it dry on skin
- Rinse with water and pat dry with a soft towel.
- Apply moisturizer to the skin
- Repeat this treatment twice a day until you achieve desired results.
Note: Always put on sunscreen to protect the skin from being irritated by the sun.
The remedies will help control rosacea. Certain lifestyles like taking in too much sugar, smoking and eating junk food should be avoided.
