Laser Treatment For Clearing Age Spots

Age spots are dark or brown spots on the skin. They are also know as liver spots.  This happens as a result of too much melanin in the skin. People with age spots are normally in their 50s hence the name age spots. They form around the shoulders, arms, neck and on the face. Most health experts are of the view that age spots are harmless and don't need a treatment. Though age spots are harmless, most people prefer to have a clear skin Instead of dark marks on their skin. There are  several methods of clearing age spots like chemical peel, microdermabrasion and the use of lightening creams. I will be throwing more light on laser treatment which seems to be  the most effective treatment for getting rid of age spots. Which Should I Use First Sunscreen or Moisturizer!

This is one of the many questions that's been asked everyday when it comes to skincare. Whether to use sunscreen first or moisturizer first. In my opinion it's better to get a sunscreen with antioxidants so that it can protect your skin from the harmful rays of the sun and at the same time moisturizing you skin. This is what I do during daytime, I apply my sunscreen rich with antioxidants then at nighttime I just use a plain moisturizer. Firstly before you want to know when to apply sunscreen, you should find out the type of sunscreen you are using. There are two types of sunscreens. We have the chemical and the physical. The chemical sunscreen is composed of oxybenzone or avobenzone. The physical sunscreen is made of titanium dioxide or zinc oxide. "A Chemical sunscreen should go on clean, bare skin first" says Laurie Polis, MD, director of Soho Skin and Laser Dermatology in New York City[source- Oprah. com ]. "You need to give it time to be absorbed, beca...

Everything You Need To Know About Antioxidants

Vitamin C, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, selenium, lutein, CoEnzymes Q10,beta carotene but the list is endless. These antioxidants help reduce free radicals damage. The body also produces it's own antioxidants which neutralises 99.9% of free radicals. But by the age of thirty, the skin cells become slower in eliminating them. What Are Moles? And How Should You Treat Them?

There are several women who love their moles and I'm one of them because they are beautifully placed. Meanwhile there are others who are not pleased with their moles because they are too much or cancerous.  According to Mayo Clinic, "moles are a common type of growth on the skin. They often appear as small dark brown spots and are caused by clusters of pigmented cells. Moles generally appear during childhood and adolescence. Most people have 10 to 45 moles, almost all which appear before age 40. Some moles may fade as you age". Moles may be present during birth and this has nothing to do with sun, it's just genetics. Studies show that sun exposure in childhood causes increase in number of moles. Irregular moles can change into melanoma. The genes we inherit from our parents, and the amount of sun to which we are exposed are the major factors in determining mole numbers on skin. Skin with more sun exposure tends to have more moles. People who are living in...
