There are several women who love their moles and I'm one of them because they are beautifully placed. They often appear as small dark brown spots and are caused by clusters of pigmented cells. Moles generally appear during childhood and adolescence. Most people have 10 to 45 moles, almost all which appear before age 40. Some moles may fade as you age". Moles may be present during birth and this has nothing to do with sun, it's just genetics. Studies show that sun exposure in childhood causes increase in number of moles. Irregular moles can change into melanoma.
